Soar

Human sight: how limited on the ground,
Ah, but if we could soar with eagle's wings
How truly lifted our perception would be.

And yet we need not ourselves be lifted,
We need only to lift abouve the clouds
Our hearts, minds, and souls.

Clouds made our of hatred
Out of fear, and prejudice,
Out of all the things we must banish forever.

For if we can learn to live
Loving lives with all our meaning,
We need not lift our bodies up.

We'll use our hearts and minds to soar
On wings of knowledge and acceptance
Together, everyone together, soaring above the clouds.
