Stage: two rows of houses, road in between. The houses fade into the background and look endless. On the right, instead of the first house, there is an archway with a wooden gate. The houses are white. Each house has a different colored symbol on the side. The houses are off-center to the left. In the area on the right, there is a ping-pong table. The houses are very orderly and are the same except for the symbols. The people that later come out of the houses are wearing white with the symbol of their house on their shirt. The background is black with a white grid. At the front of the stage is a desk and chair, facing the audience.

Windows start-up music is heard. Lights up, very bright. One person, dressed completely in white, walks in from left. He walks to the second house on the left, knocks twice rapidly on the door. The door opens. He knocks twice rapidly on the doorframe. A hand comes out, holding some papers. Person takes the papers and knocks once on doorframe. The door closes. He walks away from the house towards the desk. He sits at the desk. He knocks twice on the desk. He starts working on the papers. Other people come out of the houses and start working on things in front of the houses. Suddenly people freeze. Person looks up, looks around, stands up. He walks to the first house on left. He knocks on the side three times rapidly. The light turns blue. He knocks once. Nothing happens. He knocks three times rapidly, another three times rapidly. Lights go off, except for one slowly blinking spotlight on the person. He knocks three times rapidly, another three times rapidly. Nothing happens. He stomps once on the ground. The spotlight goes out. In the dark, he exits, taking the papers on the desk with him. The other people go back into their houses.

Windows start-up music is heard. Lights go on. Person enters. He walks to the second house on the left, knocks twice rapidly on the door. The door opens. He knocks twice rapidly on the doorframe. A hand comes out, holding some papers. He takes the papers and knocks once on doorframe. The door closes. He goes and sits at the desk. He does nothing. No one comes out of the houses. Different colored lights swim around for a short while. Person moves; normal lighting resume. Other people start coming out of the houses and working. Person works on papers.

Person gets up. He goes to the archway on the right and knocks twice rapidly on the gate. Internet dial-up sound is heard. Gate opens. He enters through the gate. A few seconds later he is shoved out backwards and gate slams. He knocks twice rapidly on the gate. Internet dial-up sound is heard again. Gate opens. Person goes in and goes through to a space with many people who enter from offstage right. They are dressed normally and colorfully. He goes around, pantomiming talking to people. An IM ping is heard. Person types in air and a different ping is heard. Person types and pigs back and forth with the air. He goes to the ping-pong table and plays with another person. Person leaves through gate and knocks once on the outside of the gate. The gate closes. The people on the other side exit offstage right. Person knocks three times slowly on the side of the first house. Lights dim and go out. He exits.
