Fighting Frogs
Walk the Line

Fighting Frogs

With a partner, squat facing each other, balancing on the balls of your feet. Put both hands up, palm-to-palm with you partner's hands. Bouncing back and forth, but always staying in a squat, and mostly keeping palms together, try to push your partner off balance. The object is to cause your partner to lose his balance without losing your own.

Variation: Do the same exercise, but as a cooperative instead of competitive effort. Tap into the Force to sense when your partner is going to push or back away, and stay with him. This is similar to the competetive version of this exercise, with the difference being that you are using your Force senses to aid your opponent, rather than taking advantage of his weaknesses.

Walk the Line

This is perhaps the simplest of all balancing exercises, and it's likely that you've already done it.

Find, or make (string or chalk are good), a straight line on the ground. Walk along it without losing your balance.

As you get better at balancing, try varying the way you walk the line, such as running or carrying something.

A more advanced variation would also be using a curved, wavy, or irregularly-shaped line.

This exercise can also be done on a raised line, such as a tightrope (only use with proper training and supervision) or a curb.
