Written by Jedi Archivist Kethrim Traditionally, the Sith were presented as beings of pure evil, with no moral code, who felt that the best way to access the Force was through anger and other negative emotions. However, many Force-users who identify with the Sith path do not follow the traditional Sith beliefs. What the Sith truly are are Force-users who access the Force through their own emotions and the emotions of others. Unlike Jedi, who acknowledge their emotions but do not use them to make decisions, the Sith rely almost completely on emotions to guide them. The Sith do not regard anger, hatred, and other negative emotions to be the only way to access the Force, instead, they use the whole range of emotions, from love to hate to everything beyond that, and act on impulse. For them, emotion is the surest way to the Force, and dark emotions create the strongest bond. However, the Sith are not controlled by their emotions; instead, they seek to control their emotions, using them to further their own path. The Sith seek to control, subdue, and destroy their enemies. Sith seek to be as strong as possible, in all ways- mentally, physically, with power in the Force. They usually follow a very rigorous physical training schedule, often pushing themselves very far. They feel that pain only makes them stronger. They also train in the Force, learning every possible ability, including how to use the Force to injure and kill others.
