Archivist's Thoughts- 16- Being the Master of Your Own Training
Written by Jedi Archivist Kethrim

Become the master of your own learning. What do you want to learn? Seek it out. Read websites, read books, read blogs, whatever you can find on the subject. Submit each reading to scrutiny- does what it says ring true to you? Does anything about it raise bad feelings, or just not sit right? Listen to your instincts. This is your training, and you are the master of it. Take to heart what feels right, and throw off anything that doesn't. Talk to people who have some knowledge of what you want to learn. Ask questions. Again, scrutinize. Even what is a truth for someone else may not become a truth for you, but be respectful- it is still their truth. To get the training that you want, you must take a proactive approach and seek it out, not wait for it to come to you.
